Wand

Morning:

His mother stayed beside him. She always tried to stay beside him.  She looked straight ahead and moved forward holding his left hand while following the elders in the group.

They always moved in the same route.  He always wondered why they travelled in the same path everyday.

They steadily moved towards the Hanuman temple.

Then he noticed one house far away. He saw that house everyday. Always the gates were locked.  But that day morning those gates were opened for the first time.

He was surprised. He tried to see inside the house. He saw a human kid on the floor. The child was weeping.  He was shocked.

He pulled the hands of his mother and tried to stop her. He pointed at the house.  She looked at the house and looked back at him. The house was very far away.

She could not see houses that were so far away.  Infact none of the elders could see things that were far away.  But the kids saw everything. They saw things far far away. Not even the humans could see things like that.

He felt very worried. He looked at the face of the child again. The poor thing was  looking around searching for some one and cried helplessly.  He wanted to go there and console the child. He wanted to take the worries of the child away.

He could not go there alone. His mother or his elders would not let him go. He tried to pull his mother towards the house. If they went near the house she could see the child. Then she would help her.  But she pulled him back and hurried him up without disrupting the group.  He felt anguish about the child.

Later in the morning:

The song played again and again in my mind.
There was no starting or ending. Sometimes the loop started from the middle of the song.

         The bus moved very fast.
I was occupied with my worries.  They showed up only when I did nothing.
          I waited anxiously for something.
I wished the bus moved faster.

My destination was immediately after a bridge. I kept looking out of the glass window whether that bridge had been reached.

Bus stopped at a traffic signal. I saw a temple to the left. An idol of Hanuman stood outside. It was huge and captivated my unsteady attention.

I felt that something else was out there too.  It felt like for a moment my worries were taken away by someone.

Afternoon:

They always stood near the entrance of the temple.  Only rarely they went inside. Everytime he wanted to go  and see the temple from inside. But his mother would not allow him to go.

All they did was try and heal the wounds in the minds  of people who  were nearby. Lots of wounded people visited temple everyday.

He also tried to help his mother when she tried to heal people. Some wounds would heal completely. Some would heal a little.

The sun rose high and shadows became smaller and smaller. People thinned out at the temple.  So they started their return journey.

While coming back he tried to move faster. He was worried about the child he saw in the morning.

After a while he could see the house. He looked anxiously. He saw the child from far away.  There was an elder lady near by. The child  jumped up and made a huge noise. The lady looked back in fright. The child laughed, clapped hands and  danced with joy.

On seeeing that his own worry lifted away.

Birth

           First cry  -
The moment of birth. Without knowing or without asking he is given the biggest responsibilty he would ever get, to look after the life given to him, to be his own  biggest friend. To love himself through the good times and bad. Lift himself up when he is down and see through and justify life.

Entreat me not to leave you, or to return from following after you,
For where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.
Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.
And where you die, I will die and there I will be buried.
May the Lord do with me and more if anything but death parts you from me.

Aging in reverse

Jean Louise "Scout" Finch--- Atticus Finch --- Jem Finch

Atticus is the life of "to kill a mocking bird". It is all about him.

One of my parents is a lawyer and I know how bad it gets when power goes to the wrong hands. Think about Hitler. World needs people like Atticus.  I am ready to  give my life if the world gets a 100 Atticus's in return.

Jean( Scout) is Atticus's only daughter, the apple of his eye.  She is only 6 years old.

She is a wonderful kid. Her mother is no more. She loves her dad. How i wish i had a daughter like her!

I notice that she is very mature to her age.

Some kids are born with more wisdom.  They are  a little different than kids around their age.  They tend to be very serious and understand very early that world is not too fun a place to be.

If they are the elder child of the household, they will be taking responsibilities equivalent to a grown up adult. Some of them even have to play the part of emotional parenthood to their biological parents.

Kids should not be taking life seriously. Nothing can replace a happy childhood.

Once they grow older they tend to loosen up. They start to see the brighter sides  of life.

When other friends of same age group grow older, and start to become less fun and more serious day by day,  our serious kiddo slowly  becomes a funny person and learns to laugh.

They become younger day by day. Ask any Capricorn around you, they will tell you!
